Couch Potatoes Kids Invite Heart Attack

Almost all media channels have come up with the news of "Watching television increases risk of heart attack". Research report states that foundation for future heart attack is being laid when young people spend more time in front of their TV. The study was conducted at the University of Sydney under team leader Dr. Bamini Gopinath .  According to him "changes to the retinal vessels give a good idea of what is going on in the rest of the body, particularly the heart".When these retinal vessels are seen narrowed it indicates future cardiovascular risks.  In cases of kids who spend more time in front of TV with lesser physical activities,  these symptoms are observed.

Heart Surgery On A 100 Year Old Man

Open heart operation has been conducted on a 100 year old man in Italy creating a world record. No such surgery has ever been undertaken on advance aged patient.  The present operation was conducted  for implantation of three stents to open blocked artery.  This record was set at Careggi Hospital in Florence.  The name of patient was not disclosed.  But he is reported to be an ex-urologist born in February 1911.
